Success isn’t just about what you accomplish in life; it’s about what you inspire others to do

Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Agent for Change

Amelita is a visionary who transmits passion and energy into every challenge.

Horses have been a passion of Amelita’s since childhood.  It was her “heart” horse that revealed the need for permanent methods of ID and tracking the movement of infectious diseases.  Thus, she reinvented herself and a second career in the equine industry career unfolded.

  • Over the following years, she was instrumental in the research that resulted in the development of two (2) successful business start-ups including Equine ID, division of Destron Fearing, and GlobalVetLink, LLC.
  • Successful in the passage of a Horse Inspection Program in Texas.  The measure was signed into law September 1997 by then Texas Governor George W Bush.
  • And a Radio Frequency ID (RFID) program for equids within the Federal National ID Program.

Highlights of Amelita’s enthusiasm for RFID have been featured in Time Magazine, as well as media coverage by Peter Jennings / ABC World News Tonight, Ed Bradley’s / CBS Street Stories, CNN Headline News and TheCRUSADERS produces by Disney.
